Marcus Triun - Part 44 (Elkos)

'Squad, on me.' Elkos Helliaer said. We were on our way infiltrating into one of the Ayakashi Headquarters, with the prince Illios inside. We figured that Volfram was K.I.A 'd as he went after Marcus, we knew he was very strong but even an enemy as Marcus would exceed very far from his own physical power. We reached the big gate from the Niarlore Headquarters, we did receive the intel that the Succubus Lavto was revived in another hidden Ayakashi Headquarters , as she was still weak in her current form she still had unbelievable powers. My squadron containing of three elite super soldiers, me including four, were ready to attack. Helod, Arrham, Efraim and me Elkos. The castle was surrounded with a big forest, which's trees would exceed far into the air, higher then the castle itself. I sent Helod, our sharpshooter, the forests in to cover us fromout the trees, he had a large flintlock which us Witch Hunters a "Rifle" called. He could see very far with it , thanks to the "scope" adjustment of the Gnomes. Best engineers you can find . As Helod went off to the forests, I said to Arrham and Efraim to follow me and cover each others backs. We all three melted into the castle gate wall and walked along the side until we were directly next to the gate and we heard a familiar accent. We directly lay down on the ground and we all held our hands on our rapiers. Two ...Humans? Humans!? What in the name were humans doing here? Obviously it were patrols guarding the place. From what I guess , they were just here for the illusion that this castle wasn't invaded by Ayakashi. I nodded to Efraim that he had to cover mine and Arrham's back eventhough Helod was in the forests covering us. But our cover can't be blown now, especially since the rifle makes an awful lot of noise. Arrham followed my lead and we unsheathed our rapiers and crouched towards our opponents , they were both backed to our position . 'I take left, you right.' I said and I pulled out my arm to tighten it around the man's face , grabbed him to the back to penetrate his back with my rapier . He tried to scream because of the pain, but my hand dissolved his sound into nothing. I let my rapier hand go and also reached for my other hand to his head and broke his neck with my raw power and I silently pulled him backwards into the shadows, Arrham did precisely what I did and now we had two dead bodies. We both unmasked ourselves and put on the human uniforms. They, happily, also had some kind of masks. Actually, it were bandana's that were wrapped around your face and the body armour contained of heavy metal combined with leather straps near the elbows, neck, knees and the hands were closed with bandages. When we were set up Efraim came from the shadows and he took both of the men into the shadows. I nodded towards him, I tightened my armour and me and Arrham walked through the gate into the light on a rainy night. The guardposts were looking at us and started to nod to us, I nodded back. Around the castle were some settlements and a huge wall with a gate , which we just went through, and we directly went up to the cobblestone path towards the castle . The people seemed unhappy, and they apparently hated human soldiers as they were looking very angry to us, maybe we should make a little stop to a settlement. 'Arrham follow me, we're not directly going to the castle.' I said, Arrham was a new grunt in the Witch Hunters squadron department and I had to teach him the ropes. 'But Elkos, we're ordered to ...' I didn't let him finish his sentence. 'I didn't ask you anything, you're to follow my orders.' I said and he nodded. We went to a small settlement and I knocked very loudly on the door. The door opened, and as soon as the ... Girl, from an age of 17, our faces saw she directly tried to close the door and I directly inserted my foot between the door and the wall. She started to scream very loudly and ran, I could understand their language as she was screaming for her mother. Arrham walked on front, I walked behind him and closed the door behind us. The girl was hiding behind an older woman and man, the man was cowardly holding a shovel in his hand trying to look intimidating. I started to speak in their gutterspeak, Arrham couldn't understand it as he spoke other languages 'We won't cause harm to anyone, I we promise. ' As I said that I showed them our insignia of the Lone Dragons. A Witch Hunter squadron. The man happily let his breath go, and dropped the shovel on the ground and searched for the closest chair to sit on and relax. The girl ran upstairs and the woman went into the kitchen. The man said ' Please, sit down. My name is Mial and we are indeed in eager need of your help.' I raised my hand. 'We're not here to drink a cup of coffee, we are here to execute Prince Illios, son of the succubus Lavto. ' The man sighed ' I knew it was a too happy thought for your squadron to save us. ' I heard the owlflute signal from Helod who was hiding in the trees outside with his rifle. If he was whistling his owlflute something really bad was about to happen. We suddenly heard a loud knocking on the door and someone yelled ' Oi, who is in there? To whom are you speaking? Answer us! Oi , open up!' The man quickly stood up as if he saw a ghost , I walked slowly to the door and then opened it. It were three human guards, one lieutenant and two soldiers. The lieutenant looked at the insignia of the uniform I had stolen and he directly saluted me. 'Sir! I didn't know I interrupted you, sir!' I was abit overwhelmed and then I started to speak ' You filthy piece of trash, how do you dare interrupting me in the middle of a torture session !' I slightly nodded to Arrham and he directly grabbed the man and grabbed his head and held it towards the table, ready to bash his head in. The lieutenant replied with ' Sir yes sir! I'm very sorry for my rude interruptance !' As I responded ' You'd better be ! Dismissed! ' The lieutenant and his soldiers saluted and quickly walked away. Hum...Interesting, I now know this uniform is high ranked. Maybe high enough to get close to the prince, and I closed the door.

Marcus Triun - Part 43 (Volfram)

was Daemon, in other words, a demon so evil you can't possibly imagine what kind of destructive powers he would possess. But his aura seemed weirdly enough...Different then our last meeting , fifteen years ago. When I still was a boy and I lived happily with my parents and my other brother...Ayakashi overrun the village. Murdering Ayakashi everywhere. I was so scared, and I fled by leaving all of my family behind in cower. I still feel so bad about it, that I joined up with the Witch - Hunters and got accepted by them. To make a long story short, his aura seemed different. In other words, he became alot stronger and I had a hard feeling he was still a Demon. He became ALOT more muscular and his appearance changed more to a kind of monster. Ayakashi have three forms, Shadowling; an Ayakashi which has been killed in his body and is in search for another body. If you kill the body from the one the Ayakashi posesses while the body still has it's own spirit the body and his/her spirit will be destroyed together with the Ayakashi. But when the Ayakashi already made the body is host, and killed the spirit he can rise up again as a Shadowling if killed. If not, it will become his body. Then you have the Demons, just ordinary Ayakashi as you know them, and then the Devils. Champions from the almighty, horrific Succubus. Lavto. Daemon became something far, far more dangerous. Daemon held the kid with the name Cucurion in the air, slowly starting to choke him. Daemon's eyes peered deep into my eyes, he had no pupils anymore. His eyes were totally dark red, his foul voice started speaking : " Something precious to you?" Volfram:" Leave him alone !" Daemon:"That's just enough of an answer to me." Just at the moment when Daemon tries to slash into him, Cucurion starts to scream, and yells :" STOP ! I'm Marcus' apprentice ! I won't let anyone or anything hurt me ! " Daemon's half burned off eyebrow went up with a frown on his face. Daemon:" Marcus' apprentice eh? So you're an Ayakashi too?" Cucurion's eyebrow went up too. He looked at me in despair, so I directly nodded to Cucurion he had to improvise very quickly. Cucurion:"OH, yeah...Ofcourse...Yeah...I'm an...Ayakashi..." Daemon:"I understand, well if you're one show me your powers." Cucurion still held up in the air started to speak very slowly so he could think over his answer:"To be honest I wa--..." ???:"Stop. Put him down. No questions." Daemon threw the kid on the ground, and turned around really slowly. It was Marcus. Daemon directly kneeled before him and he spoke :" Marcus, our prince. We have missed you for too long, please come back home to our city!" Marcus held his hand up, as a sign he wanted silence and tried to speak. "I have no intentions of returning home, I'm going to attack Arishalore with my army. These people need me, and they've been murdered and slaughtered for no good reasons. And what goes for the gods, they lied to me so they will pay for what they've done. They will be killed, and Arishalore, Niarlore and Safilore will burn. And from the ashes we will rebuild everything again, so I can be the king and ruler of everything." Marcus walked towards Daemon, he kicked him on his face. Marcus:"How did you even dare, touching my apprentice. " I came running up to the kid, and kneeled before him, slowly getting him on his feet. Marcus:"You too, get away from my apprentice you son of a --..." Cucurion:"NO, you'd better shut up! It's all your fault! Because of you I'm becoming blind !" Marcus stepped backwards, just when he tried to get closer to Cucurion , Cucurion yelled :" NO! BACK OFF!" Marcus:"Tshk...I don't need you." He walked off and he snapped with his fingers. Five ogre sentinels appeared and fifteen Goblins. Marcus:"Have a lot of fun. Kill ' em." Darn. I still had my flintlock and rapier in my hand. Daemon stood up and said:"No worries." He simply nodded to them, and they all exploded in flashes of blood, nothing was over from them. Daemon:" I'm going after Marcus, oh yeah. That's right." He walked towards me, picked me up with one hand ... Amazing his pure raw strength. He threw me away from Cucurion, he tried to stand up as quickly as he could and had a twig in his hand. Cucurion:"Get away from me !" Daemon:"Now , now. That ain't very polite. Maybe I should punish you for it ..." He said with a large grin. I quickly grabbed my flintlock and I marked for Daemon's head. Daemon saw it, reached his hand to me and the gun exploded in my hands. Then he went on towards Cucurion, Cucurion reached out to jab Daemon on his chin. It was a direct hit, but Daemon's face only turned, and turned back to Cucurion's face. Daemon:"Now it's my turn." He jabbed Cucurion so hard on his face he flew a meter backwards on his back. Volfram:"CUCURION !" I ran to Daemon and tried to jump on his back , it did help since Daemon lost his balance and fell. I saw shadows moving, more Witch - Hunters. They all at once appeared and held their flintlocks on his face. Daemon stood up, threw me away and he glided his way up to the sky. He flew to Cucurion, took out a small knife from his pocket, stabbed him several times and in his eyes. He licked the blood from the knife, and dissolved into the Shadows. Darn it, DARN IT. I'm so weak compared to that guy! Darn, Cucurion ! I ran to him, he screamed and yelled :" MY EYES! AAH, EVERYTHING HURTS!" I tried to calm him down :"Hush, everything is going to be okay. Calm down, we're going to help you." Cucurion:"Volfram...I can't see anything, please, please help me!" Volfram:"Sshhh...It's alright, it's going to be okay." I saw tears coming from his stabbed eyes...Why Daemon... Just why...
